Yesterday I heard Matt scream and shout and run up the stairs to burst into his room and tell me that he got the job. I don't know if anybody is aware of the fact that he has been struggling for about two years, but everybody that knows us is absolutely thrilled; and it's been the first time in a long time that we both have reasons to feel lucky, and it's wonderful.
I have until Monday off work now, so tonight I'm off to Derby to go on a date with my beautiful sister, and tomorrow Matt is meeting me for a 'congratulations' meal at our favourite Indian restaurant. Roll on the rest of our lives...I hope nothing bursts this little bubble that I'm living in right now.
