On friday my sister came down to join me, my mum and her hubby on a cheesy night out watching The Rolling Clones, to celebrate my birthday. I wore an old favourite Topshop dress and my awesome leather jacket, and got incredibly drunk. Stumbling home at 1am we put a pizza in the oven and watched Sweet Home Alabama, the first chick-flick we could find, before realising we had to be up early and retiring to bed. It was really lovely :)

Waking up next to my sister the following morning with very hazy eyesight and a poorly poorly head, I almost forgot that it was my birthday, until I went into my bedroom and found all of my cards and lovely gifts waiting for me.

That morning I unwrapped the Mumford and Sons CD, my favourite expensive perfume by Vera Wang, a 'gorjus' notebook to cater for my list-making obsession, my favourite Bette Davis film 'All about Eve', Soap & Glory beauty products, a book of angry poems, a stunning vintage style milk jug, & some Cath Kidston soaps. I didn't do too bad at all.
It was a good job Matt had to work until 3pm because it took me a long time to feel well enough to get ready and meet him in town; but when I did he greeted me with a big birthday kiss and we went for a big buffet dinner (naughty, but I needed it). When we got home he gave me my gifts of two fantastic movie posters, 'The Big Lebowski' and 'The Terminator', framed and signed all ready to go up on display in our Den! I love having a boyfriend that gets what it means to be a film nerd.

Easter sunday was my gorgeous Bobby Dog's 2nd birthday, so as soon as I opened my eyes I jumped out of bed to give him his presents. The little bugger was so excited and was smiling all day.
Me and my mum slaved away in the kitchen to prepare the Easter dinner for eight, and I played Bar Girl when the family arrived to make sure nobody had an empty glass. After a huuuge (and so tasty) turkey dinner, we all slobbed around in the living room with an easter egg each watching The Three Amigos. Me and Matt managed to sneak away and get our jim-jams on at about 7o'clock, and we lay in bed feeling fat and gross watching benidorm and cuddling, enjoying a lazy sunday.

On monday I decided I wasn't quite ready to say goodbye to my birthday celebrations for another year, so to continue with the weekend binge, Matt and I headed into town to do a little bit of shopping and a scrummy Revolution steak. before going back to Matt's for a night of smoking out of the window and Fatal Attraction, I picked up a gorgeous black lace dress from H&M that I plan to wear on my night out tomorrow with my two favourite girlies!
I hope everybody else had a wonderful weekend!
